New bass day!

This is from a few months back, but this shows the beginnings of a song that was the first thing that come out of this bass when I unboxed it. It’s got it’s own things to say, that’s for sure! Check it out, let me know what you think!

Just took delivery of New Leaf Basses 0005 from the master himself, Darren Michaels. First thing I did with it in an open tuning was write a potential new song, so that must mean it's got the mojo, right? Strung with GHS Strings, running through Rattlesnake Cables into the Helix with minimal processing, out through a Genz Benz Streamliner and Uber 410 cab, and recorded with the worst implement of all, a cell phone. Down and dirty indeed. Let me know what you think!

Back in April of 2020, COVID lockdowns were in full force, and gigging was done. At least, until Gamechanger Audio, the makers of the Plus Pedal Sustain Pedal, reached out to artists to lay down the #pluspedalchallenge. We were encouraged to submit a video of our Plus Pedal performances for the campaign. I really like how this turned out- I composed it on the spot for the video, after having been less than motivated to do anything besides video gaming since gigs were cancelled and teaching band and orchestra was basically done for the year.
